Siberian Larch

Information about Siberian Larch

Siberian Larch (Larix sibirica) is one of most popular choice for external using.

Originating from the forests of Siberia in Russia, grows in an ‘extreme continental climate’ which is characterized by long cold winters and short hot summers. It is a slow growth, high density softwood which makes it one of the hardest commercial softwoods available.

The resin in the wood means it has a natural protection against rot and decay.

Untreated Siberian Larch and coatings

Siberian larch became silver grey color within 3-5 years and doesn’t required future care.

Coatings by pigmented oil or silicate paints gives wide possibilities update colors by individual needs.
